Minimal Pairs


What are the minimal pairs?
Minimal Pairs are words that have the same pronunciation except for one little sound.

Why do you think the minimal pairs are important?
I think they are very, very important because you have to pronounce correctly all those similar sounds for to avoid missunderstoods with the other people.

MINIMAL PAIRS

Pair 1: live - leave





I live in Bogotá





I have to leave the university


Pair 2: catch - cash





Cath the ball, there it go!





I don’ t have cash enough 


Pair 3: Boot - Boat




I have something in my boot






We have to cross the river on boat




Pair 4: thirst - first




I was so thirsty



I was the first on my class




I have learnt what are the minimal pairs and with this examples i can to get better som pronunciations.......i used www.imtranslator.net for listen the pronunciations that i needed.
